This is a very old thread, but I do have two questions about it:
1- Do we happen to know the codes of Fw 190 A-8 of werknummer 738 233? 2- Which P-38 unit or pilot (possibly 9th AF) claimed him? I have been looking at possible matches, but the 21-11-44 ETO claims only do register claims submitted by: 77th FS, 82nd FS, 335, 336, 364, 369, 370, 374, 383, 384, 385, 389, 487 and 505th Fighter Squadrons. As far as I have researched, all were either flying P-51Mustangs or P-47 Thunderbolts... ANY idea which unit was still flying P-38 outfits by 21 November 1944???? Adriano Baumgartner
