GC2/7 escorts to Lockheed F-5 14.04.45

On April 14, GC2/7 were escorting Lockheed F-5s when they were intercepted by a mixed formation of Bf 109s and Fw 190s. Can anyone tell me the unit (French/USAAF?) and how many Lockheed F-5s.

I'd also be interested to find out which LW units they faced. I am assuming it was JG53 who claimed a Spitfire on this date were present (they met 332 French Wing on several occasions).

regards

Keith
