II./JG 54 in Sept-Oct. 1941
I have been looking at II./JG 54 for September - October 1941 from the time they transferred from Leningrad to Staraya Russa. I have been looking at Soviet losses that happened around Leningrad but the times match for claim times and types of II/JG 54. Because of the lack of locations for claims in 1941 and early 1942 it hampers some of these determinations. I noticed that 5./JG 54 and sometimes 6./JG 54 pop up with a location around Leningrad. Wolfgang Späte is one of those pilots. JFV 6/II doesn’t list any particular Staffel being assigned to serve in that area during this time. I would like to hear about any pilots from II. Gruppe that served in the area of Leningrad during that time.
