Bf 110 of NJG 1 at airfield Kirchhellen in 1944
Hi all!
Parts of the NJG 1 moved in September 1944 from the airfield St. Trond to airfield Dortmund. I got a single logbook page from the pilot Ofw. Schweizer. This documents a flight of the 28.9.1944 with a Bf 110 from the airfield Dortmund to the small airfield Kirchhellen (morning) and back (evening). I assume that this was a brief shift, which serves only as protection against bombing (or the airfield Dortmund was crowded). If anyone have NJG 1 logbooks als pertaining to this period - and documenting flights to / from Kirchhellen (or wrong wrote Kirschhellen) - then I would be pleased to receive a small copy of these flights as proof.
