GLOVER, Ronald Haigh P/O 49935. 51 Squadron

Hello everyone, I would appreciate any information anyone may have on GLOVER Ronald Haigh P/O 49935. 51 Squadron, KIA 20th April 1943. Joined the RAF in 1938, posted to France 1939. Awarded a Caterpillar Club pin sometime between 1938 and 1943? I am trying to identify the incident which caused Glover to bail out and receive that Caterpillar badge? Many thanks.
