Me109 windshield ?
Dear all,
I need your advise on these parts. They were found on a Me109G crash site (from 1/NAGr-13) in France. 1) The first part really seems to be the windshield. I am puzzled by the fact that we have twice the same part: was the 109 windshield made with two pieces of glass one on the other ? Thickness is 2 cm; 2) The second one reminds me of the opening on the engine cowl for the machine gun. Then, we should have green camouflage, and not grey. What do you think ? had NAGr-13 specific grey painting ? Pilots : GREGORITSCH, Franz Paul Ofhr 1/10/1923 Klagenfurt - 1/NAGr-13 Bf 109G Werk # 20680 HEBER Fritz, 11/02/1919 in Nauerhof, Leipzig - 1/NAGr-13 Bf 109G Werk 410257. Buried Block 9 Reihe 48 Grab 1177. Ploudaniel-Lesneven. Any remark will be welcome. GC Last edited by gilles collaveri; 16th March 2021 at 15:55. |
