Robert Petyrek, Luftwaffe - a question

Hello,
please does anybody know anything about Robert Petyrek, definitely Luftwaffe but I have no idea if he was a pilot or gunner or anything else?
He was killed in action in summer 1942 (probably August), Western Europe. His father Felix Petyrek was a Czechoslovak (well German nationality) composer from Brno. Thank you.
