Geographic help May 19, 1944
On this date, a two-ship flight of the 380th Fighter Squadron escorted a straggling B-17 to a location I cannot decipher, where the B-17 was picked up by some P-38's. The town/city or general area appears to be Kim????tx but it is so unclear I cannot be certain of anything. The two P-51 pilots then proceeded on towards Kiel and the original mission was a withdrawal support from the Berlin area. Does anyone have a possible name for this location? I have tried various combinations of the letters, tried doing a Google Map hunt tracing from Kiel back towards Berlin, all with no luck. Thank you.
