unidentified name with training units JGr.101-107
Hi Guys
These are hard because often the claimants were just ending their training and therefore soon moved or, or they were instructors on a break from combat soon returning to their original units. Sometimes pilots severely wounded and put to work as instructors. Anyway. 14th October 1943 1435 hrs B-17 2./JGr.104 Fw "Bauer" anerk.nr.3 7000 metres. 18th March 1944 1520 hrs P-38 2./JGr.106 Lt "Broo"("B's" look like "L's" 5000 metres v.n.e-a.s.m 24th April 1944 1535 hrs P-47 2./JGr.106 Lt "Barr"(as above) A.S.M 16th March 1944 1415 hrs B-17 I./JGr.107 Lt "Hansen" A.S.M 4000 metres This next one is an oddity regarding type mikrofilms states Fortress then a short unidentified word then Mustang ! 8th February 1944 1310 hrs B-17(P-51) 3./JGr.101 Gefr "Abel" or "Arel" or something similar anerk.nr.1. Forename is shortened to first three letters >Rüd< "Rüdiger" I would suggest. Good hunting Kind Regards Johannes |
