according the 2nd TAF Log of Casualties, Claims, Assessment and Losses for this particular day, a number of THYPHOON were lost. But no one really does coincide with the incident of your description. At 12:40 hrs, No. 315 Squadron reports an engagement "8 m SE of Sees", with about 4 FW 190, claiming those shot down. In the German Victory List for the day, 1./JG 2 reports two TYPHOON shot down at about 10:46 hrs near St. Pierre-sur-Dives. All the best, Horst Weber
