B-17 crash in wood near Brussels, Oct/Nov 1944

Hello,

I’m looking for information concerning an olive drab B-17, which crashed into a wood near Brussels (Belgium) after its entire crew had baled out.

This particular crash occured around the end of October 1944/ begin of November 1944. The plane crashed into the eastern edge of a wood called Zoniënwoud (Forêt de Soignes) near the Belgian villages of Tervuren (Tervueren) and Duisburg (Duysbourg), 8 miles south-southeast of Brussels.

Possible B-17 candidates are much appreciated.

Dirk
