10/05/1940 1./KG1 He111 V4+KL
Hi !
On 10/05/1940 Fw. Wilhelm Wübbe, radio operator, of the above mentioned plane lost his live when his plane was shot down by French Flak. Although the plane is reported to have crashed at Leugnies (Belgium), he was first buried at Houx (Belgium), which is aprox.61 km from Leugnies. Is it possible that his plane crashed at another place ? Waremme (Belgium) has also been mentioned... Many thanks and best regards Luc
