Halifax crash - bomb found at Balkholme
On BBC News 24 an article this lunchtime about closure of M62 as Army EOD detonate a bomb found at crash site of RAF bomber. Presumably this is one of the Halifax III a/c of 578 Squadron that collided on 20/21 July 1944? Said to have been "found deeply buried by a metal detector enthusiast". Looks to be causing some travel havoc!
