Hello RT!
Yes, it is quite interesting to see in diferent publications and sites that there are two versions: 1- That the Heinkels He 59 were submitted to small arms fire when landing, resulting in some aircraft being damaged. 2- That there was NO reaction from the enemy and the losses were due to accidents when landing at the Maas or unloading the infantry men on the riverside. Your add on on the Hauptmann who commanded the operation is quite interesting. Who really knows what happened to him? Any news Junker55?
