Go 242 plane loss -
Hello,
Just newly registrated in here after quite a while of reading previously, wonderfull forum for sure. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing so much info with us. Now towards my question, i am a Go 242 glider fan and im after the search of the fate (or more information) of the following Go 242 attached towards the 2. (Go.) / VK (S) 2. The searched Go was active in the Mediteranian: Go 242 (BS + XC) Transportflight starting base: Lecce Went down in the Sea on: Planquadrat 9713 Date: 24.07.1942 Flewn km. untill that point: 455 km. Can anyone confirm this loss and possible give more info on the load this Go carried + as wel iff the crew was recorded as a loss? Thanks in advance, Ruben
