Re: Schuck-Kolben RAF
Hi Brian,
Gerhard Pavel Schück-Kolben is really listed as a member of Czechoslovak Air Force in RAF during WWII. But the story has holes and looks unlikely. 1) He wasn´t flying personel in front-line squadron. As young Sgt, 654793, was with 31 E. F. T. S. 2) There is no official mention he was with the 312 Sqn during BoB. 3) Born 16/07/21 in Prague, not in Austria. 4) There is no credit for him to s/d two machines in MTO. 5) He was too young, without experiences to serve in MTO. Only our senior officers with number of hours in the logbooks were transfered for short term attachement there. Because of low reserves of CZ pilots. Hope this helps, Michal |
