Michael is on a distinguished road
Battle on 18 December 1939

On that day 24 Wellingtons (two aircrafts returned to base) fly on armed reconnaissance of the Wilhelmshaven and Schillig Roads. Ten of them were shot down by Luftwaffe fighters, two more crashed into the sea during return and three were written off.
What squadrons were being involved in the battle and where I can read more about it?

Best regards,
Michael
