VF-38 Intelligence Officer.
Hi
I am trying to establish whether this Homer Othel Brooks was an Intelligence officer in the US Navy during WWII. His age would be about right. I have a picture of a Lt Homer O Brooks on board USS Long Island en route to the Solomons during summer 1943. From Ancestry.com Homer Othel Brooks Born 12th March 1913 - Died 28th Dec 1975 San Diego, CA Social Security No 556381571 Thought to be him but no proof yet. We know the real one lived at this address in 1946. Apartment 213, 1336 Park Street, Alameda, CA. I would be very interested to hear from the family if you know of there whereabouts. You never know who might be 'googling!'. regards Mark Sheppard
