Lancaster Serial Numbers

I'm trying to trace some Lancaster Serial Numbers. They could belong to either a 635 Squadron Pathfinder or a Canadian 431 Squadron Lancaster X that were lost on the 6th January 1945. Any further info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Captain_m Aircraft Type: Lancaster 683. Marking on the Wing Trailing Edge: DID 314/S in black. Marking on the Trailing Edge of the Tailplane: DID 308/C in red. Aircraft Production Type Identification Plate on the Tailplane: 683, DWG No. 396, Serial No. R3/LB/233800. Lancaster, 96% (virtually obliterated in the crash). Markings of the Tailplane: DWG 39 G 1504. Markings on the Wing: DTD 214. Aircraft Production Number: unknown. |
