Jim Starnes
Received earlier today from 339th Newsletter Editor Steve Ananian:
It is my sad task to inform you that James Roy Starnes, pilot 505th FS passed away on Saturday morning September 4, 2010 after a two year struggle with Cancer. He was a founding member of the 339th Fighter Group Association, a past president and editor of the Newsletter for 20 years. He was a Leader who led us in many battles, a Fighter Pilot's pilot, a true hero and will be missed by all of us! - Stephen Ananian, president 339th FGA - Very true Steve, the passing of a true gentleman.
