...I just can't see how someone made a POW could be awarded a DKiG and a Squadron Clasp, when they weren't awarded until 1941 and 1943 respectively.
Was he an escapee? A prisoner exchange? The Al Valore medal is a pre-1943 Medal, and original. The Squadron Clasp was introduced in April 1943, but info supplied states that he was awarded it on January 25th 1943.........  Cheers, Bill
