He-111 loss, July 1944, KG "Boelcke" 27
Hi,
Are there any recorded losses/damage of an He-111 of III./KG.27 in July 1944? I'm specifically interested in 1G+HS. I have a Flugbuch with a last recorded flight on 18.7.1944, piloted by Uffz. Münikis, taking off from Mielec with the mission of "supplying petrol for a panzer spearhead north-east of Lemberg". After that, no more entries, but the Flugbuch owner was still alive because another document indicates his left leg was later amputated. The lack of further entries and an amputation must be linked... hence my question. Any help is greatly appreciated. Best wishes, Jason |
