Source for Watteeuw's attribution as "White 5" of Fw. Willi Roth's 4./JG26 Bf109E from which he bailed out of on June 3, 1940 and became a POW

Hello,

I'm trying to confirm Pierre Watteeuw's information that the Bf109E that Fw Willi Roth of 4./JG26 bailed out of on June 3, 1940, was "White 5." This was published in AVIONS Hors Serie No10, P.49. Prien does not list a plane number in his JFV#3 (P.220). Presumably the plane was smashed to pieces. Does this information come from an NVM, and interrogation report of Roth while a prisoner or are there photos of the wreckage of this a/c showing either this plane number of the possible W.Nr., which might be 1793.

Can anyone help with this? Peter Cornwell used Watteeuw's information as his source for this in his BoFrT&N, so that doesn't help me confirm the original information.

Who can help with this?

Regards,
