Sergeant Edward Joseph Evans, D.F.M.
From Ironbridge, Shropshire.
Son of Edward and Frances Selina Evans.

Joined the R.A.F. in 1938.
Served France with 218 Squadron, Advanced Air Striking Force.
Awarded D.F.M. Announced in the London Gazette dated 21.6.1940

Promoted Sergeant (WOP/AG).

Killed by the propeller of his own aircraft on 28.11.1940.
Age 21.
Husband of Vera Evans, of Southey Green, Sheffield.
Buried in Sheffield (Shiregreen) Cemetery.
