Erg.Staffel "K"? Possibly EKdo 16 (JG 400)?
Gents,
Could anyone assist in identifying the following unit: Ergänzungs Staffel "K". (time period 1.8.1944-12.9.1944) This is a unit I am trying to find info on in a Soldbuch. The next unit this person was transferred to was Ergänzungs Staffel, Jagdgeschwader 400, so I would presume there is a connection here with Erprobungskommando 16 and JG 400? However searches so far have not shown too much: According to S. Ransom and H-H Cammann's book on JG 400, Erg.Staffel was formed July 1944 in Bad Zwischenhahn. It became 13/IV/EJG 2 in November 1944....this also is confirmed in the Soldbuch. The only other possible clue is a security check from Erprobungs Kommando 16 der Luftwaffe dated 1.9.1944. However as these security checks go, there is no guarantee that the date is correct. Also would anyone have any contact details for Hans-Hermann Cammann? Thanks in advance. Ian |
