Kusin = Cousin?
I think that the writing on the card actually means "Zum Andenken an deinem Kusin Karli", where according to my dictionary "Kusin" means "cousin" (i.e. son of uncle/aunt) with "Karli" possibly being a pet name in the family for "Karl". So, a Christian name rather than a surname, I think.
The whole phrase then means something like "To the memory of your cousin Karl". Would this make sense? And could you subsequently find a LW loss on this date matching this Christian name and rank? Regards, Marcel Last edited by Marcel van Heijkop; 8th January 2011 at 23:30. Reason: spelling |
