According to the book, all four crew members were killed The book does not present any crew position as such, which is a drawback, but I believe the general idea at the time of writing was to show the first individual as pilot in command. However loking back on earlier losses in the book it looks like the author lists the commander of the aircraft first, which suggests something else. Bottom line is that I cannot answer that question. However by mid 1942 I believe Luftwaffe had realised the folly of having the observer outranking the pilot and changed all this, but I think others on this forum are far mor capable to answer this....
