Wellington? loss 6 DEC 1941

Hello

I am trying to identfiy an aircaft which recorded as having exploded and crashed into the sea off Bembridge, Isle of Wight on the 6th Dec 1941.
I have seen this listed as a Wellington but with no further information.
The only candidate I can identify is Z1401 of 300 sqd however this is listed as shot down over Boulogne.

Thanks

Pete
