German avia motors question

Hallo gents!

Some sourses say, that german twin-engined a/c ahd its own versions of engines. For example, they claim that Bf110E-2 had DB601P instead of DB601N. But it is strange for me, as I see sign "N" on those aircraft motor cowlings, and DB601N in original documents.

That sourse claim, that special engines for twin-engined a/c's had its own prop/engine ratio). Is it true?

Quote:
DB601B-1 - Same as DB601A-1, different prop/engine ratio, 1:1.88 instead of 1:1.55.
DB601P - same as DB601N, different prop/engine ratio, 1:1.88 instead of 1:1.55.
DB601F - Same as DB601E, different prop/engine ratio, 1:1.875 instead of 1:1.685.
DB 605 B - Same as 605 A, different prop/gear ratio.
I always thought, that following is correct:
Quote:
Bf110C&D - DB601A-1
Bf110E - DB601N (also some C, D got it)
Bf110F - DB601E
Bf110G - DB 605 A
