Anyone with access to Playfair v3 footnotes?

Does anyone have access to a copy of the edition of volume III of Playfair’s Mediterranean and Middle East, the British official history, that has footnotes? Both I and the library have the pre-footnote original edition.

The reason I am asking is: on p. 337 of this volune, Generalleutnant Otto Hoffman von Waldau, the Fliegerfuehrer Afrika, is quoted as saying that despite this “combat effectiveness has been maintained, and indeed increased, by the assignment of new and excellent trained Spitfire squadrons from England. The employment of the Spitfires has given the enemy the confidence he needs to hold his own against our Me 109s”.

I would very much like to know where he said this.
