Do 17 seems is in fragile state, likely requiring substantial "cage" building before raising (likely full of sand and mud so could be quite heavy).
Speaking of rare types, spokesman Ian Trisk did not mention the Dutch Do 215 night fighter wreck on other side of North Sea, besides I wonder where the Ju 88 "bomber" example is, that BBC listis in that news article. I know of none complete example in Britain. It whould also be rather nice to see recovery of the substantially intact North Sea He 115 seaplane found on oil pipeline survey many years ago. But that might be nearer to Norway to do I guess.. |
