Identification of crashed WW2 US Aircraft by B&T Indicator
Hi all !
I have this B&T Indicator front part (display only, see image attached) of an US bomber that crashed in Germany (Ruhr area) in WW2. Would it be possible to identify the aircraft type ? I have a strong lead for an A-26 (43-22303), however I was told initially it was a Marauder (B-26), which was probably wrong. The only text on this instrument is: A.F. U.S. ARMY TYPE A-11 BANK AND TURN INDICATOR A17-2U Would it be possible to exclude B-26 and other bomber types and rule in particularly A-26 ? Thank you kindly in advance, FrankieS Last edited by FrankieS; 14th June 2011 at 00:40. |
