Bf109G6 MG 151/20 cockpit cover

Hi All

I wonder if this is common. Mapholder fastened MG 151/20 cannon cover in cockpit. It is from Regensburg built Bf 109 G6. I have never seen such a thing before. Can it be fastened afterwards not being original. If it is not original which plane it is originally from? Any thoughts?
