Looking for info

Hi, I am looking for info re the following;
my great uncle (Michael Angelo Zollo) was shot down somewhere in the med on 24th of May '44, he was part of 600 squadron so would have been flying a Beaufighter Mk.VIf based in Marcianise, Italy at the time. I am trying to build as accurate a scale model of his last plane as I can for my fathers birthday (who was named after his uncle). I have mostly built the Tamiya 1/48 kit of this plane, I mistakenly bought a Mk.X kit following family knowledge but they thought he was based at Malta at the time of death too.
In talking with other sources I have been given a picture of a Mk.VI from 600 visiting Foggia in what appears to be a sea grey and green paint scheme.
I just want to ask anyone out there for information and pics if possible and to confirm anything I have mentioned above. I heard of a book by Nick Beal titled NSG 9 that may have info/pictures so does anyone have it to confirm this?
Any help is very much appreciated!
Dave
