Soviet airfield near Baku
Hello, I am searching to identify the location of an airfield near Baku in 1942. At this date it was the base of 14 AMP, where aircraft were being repaired for units fighting more north.
My source gives the name location as Kishlyk (Кишлык) or Kishlykskogo airfield (Кишлыкского аэродрома), which I mean is the same, but the only place name Kishlyk I could find is in Uzbekistan, not the right country. On the other hand there are several places in Azerbaijan with a names in two parts and the first part being Kichik or Kicik, so I think my location could be one of these. Can someone help ? Bets regards Edited: Thanks for moving this to the right forum. Last edited by Laurent Rizzotti; 24th October 2011 at 17:19. |
