Seeking photo of Ju88A-1 Code 7A+?? from 4.(F)/121 SD 20.4.40 near Ozolles, France
Hello,
I'm seeking photos of this Ju88A-1, which was the first a/c of this type from one of the Luftwaffe's long range recon units to be shot down during the Phoney War.
"April 20, 1940: 4.(F)/121 Junkers Ju88A-1. Badly damaged in attack by F/O Kilmartin of No.1 Squadron during reconnaissance of airfields and rail traffic between Saint-Dizier and Langres 9.45 a.m. Pursued from Beaune to Romilly where engaged by Asp Amouroux of GC III/9 and finally crashed at Ozolles. (Beo) Oberlt Klaus Pritzel, (Bf) Oberfw Bruno Hippel, (Ff) Fw Herbert Kieler, and (Bs) Uffz Joachim Adam all captured unhurt. Aircraft 100% write-off."
Since this is before the Blitzkrieg, it seems likely that photos were taken of this crash. Does anyone know a source for them?
Regards,
