Bf 109G-14 at Salzburg-Maglan A/F
Hallo gentlemen,
would somebody of you be so kind and provide me with the correct markings of the Bf 109G with damaged undercarriage lying in front of Ju 290 9V+EK WNr 290110162 on the autobahn strip besides Salzburg-Maxglan airfield? Krzystof Wolwski classifies it as Bf 109G-14/AS "Black 3" WNr 786156 which can't be correct. On better scans I recognize a "Black 63" with tailfin numbers "3(?)3156" as first figures which would make it a K-series. Might this Bf 109 have something to do with the plethora of high-number Messerschmitts photographed at Mühldorf a/f(WotBC 7, p.2,3)? Final replacements for JG 300? TIA Regards Roland
