LW claim of an L-5 Sentinel on 24-12-1944?
On 24 December 1944 Staff Sgt Bernard B. Brown Jr. of the US 153th Liaison Squadron was killed when his L-5 Sentinel was shot down by "three enemy fighters" (153rd LS report) somewhat SE of Liège, Belgium. Ken Wakefield's book says Fw-190s. (p. 128)
What LW unit and/or pilot has claimed a light aircraft in the Liège area that day? Found no corresponding claim in Tony Wood's files. Thanks for any info. Regards, Leendert
