Re: Yank in Bomber Command

Steve,

The online NARA enlistment records give Fred V. Cornwell with Army Serial Number 10601382.
According to his record he enlisted in the Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant at an undefined location on 1 September 1943, which would have followed his tour with 218 Squadon.

Residence is given as Fairfield, Connecticut, and he was born in Pennsylvania in 1921.

Regards,

Leendert
