ADIK report 264/1945 gives a few miles S.W. of Wesel 25th March 1945 approx at 2340hrs. Ju88 G-6 3C+CS hit in port engine by AA fire after crossing the Rhine, pilot ordered crew to bale out. Pilot Fw Bruno Neuhauser uninjured, W/T Fw Erich Ries injured ( could he have later died of injuries ?), Bm Fw Alfred Hudasch and Gnr.Uffz. Rudolph Roth both uninjured. Morale initially high and exceptionllay well drilled in security.
The report states the crew landed safely and were taken P/W. the pilot first having made an abortive attempt to reach German-held territory dressed in civilian clothes Brian Bines Last edited by Brian Bines; 2nd September 2012 at 21:37.
