September 7 1944 Ivoz Ramet L5 Observer
Dear Friends,
we trying to find some informations as to the following matter: On September 7th, 1944 the 3rd Armored entered an area near Grâce-Hollogne (near Liège), called CORBEAU. At that location, a German air defence position was situated The location was bombed until 1630 After the bombing, apparently the installations were either destroyed or disassembled At that moment a US plane flew over (probably an L5 Observer plane) and was shot down by a large group of German aircrafts. That plane crashed near IVOZ RAMET The names of the two fallen pilots are not known at the moment maybe with your help, we might be able to find out the two names of those two aviators.
