Taran attack on 04.07.43
On this date Ml.Lt. S.A. Pushkov of 21 IAP reportedly rammed a Fw.189 aircraft in the region of Belenskoe, 4km from Chapli Lake (region of Dukhovschina, Smolenskaya Oblast?).
Is this action connected with the wounding of Albert Buttke on this date? I´m not sure were Belenskoe, Chapli Lake or Lemekki are located. There also different times given in soviet sources (10.30h or 04.20h) and even dates (04.07.43 or 15.08.43). Who were the other crewmembers of Buttke? BUTTKE, Albert. (DOB: 12.11.14). (DKG). 01.03.42 RDA for Oblt. (Kr.O./Fl.). 16.11.42 Oblt. and Beobachter, awarded the Ehrenpokal. 01.02.43 Oblt., awarded DKG, 4.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 31. 04.07.43 Oblt. and Beobachter (observer) in NAGr. 3, WIA – in Fw 189 shot down by fighters over Lemekki. 01.01.44 promo to Hptm.; Stab NAGr.3 (including 4.(H)/31) operated in Central Russia probably from Dretun.
