358th FG "Orangetails", P47 serial 44-20469 -pict searched
Hey all,
that's allredy an old research, ...but I still keep some hopes of one day find some answers! Do maybe someone have a pict somewhere showing that plane 44-20469, of the 367th FS? Fuselage code of 367th FS was CP - individual lettering missing It was a P-47D -30RE Shot down on december 16th 1944, with 2nd Lt John R. Buchanan Jr. as pilot, MIA and later KIA. It was a plane with orange painted tail, red cowling, and nose art+name on fuselage. Missing elements are: - individual letter of plane - name of plane and nose-art - crew of that plane - ...and picts of it!! Thanks for any possible answer about that very old (5 years) research! best feelings from France, Mathias
