NAVIGATION CHARTS used by USAAF in WW2

I would like to know what kind of maps the flightcrews of the USAAF used during WW2. Was there a difference in the maps used by fighter pilots and those used by the navigator of heavy bombers? What details were displayed, what scale and where could I see an example of it. I would like to get an impression of what they were able to find with these kind of maps. Thanks a lot for your help! Regards
