Hudson (AM698) of 224 Sqn, RAF
Hello
I have read that Hudson (AM698) of 224 Sqn, RAF was possibly shot down by Oberleutnant Erich Leie (121 victories, RK, killed in action 7 March 1945) of the Geschwaderstab of JG 2 on 8 January 1942 with all the crew being listed as missing. I would like to find out more on this aircraft, such as mark, tactical code and crew names if possible. I will say that there appears to be some confusion regarding this aircraft as some sources that I have seen mention that it was lost on 27 December 1942 with 500 Sqn, RAF in the Mediterranean theater. Could anyone shed some light on this matter? Many thanks for any help. Horrido! Leo
