Aircrew from 9/ZG76 1940
I wonder if anybody can confirm any details for the following airmen from 9/ZG76 1940.
They were all apparantly awarded the Iron Cross during 1940 for sorties over Poland and later during the Western Campaign, possibly previously with 6/ZG1. Details of the fates, date of award, first names would be most appreciated. Fw.Thilow 5 sorties over Poland, 17 sorties in the West up to circa (11.7.40 ) 2x Kills, Fw.Baumgartel, 5 sorties over Poland, 21 sorties in the West up to circa ( 11.7.40) Fw.Nodinger, 5 sorties over Poland, 17 sorties in the West up to cica ( 11.7.40 ) Source "Luftwaffe Crash Archive" Vol 1 by Nigel Parker pg.68.from Red Kite Books.
