Loss of "Grand National" Winner
Hello,
Confirmation please. Twice a Grand National Winner, (UK and Ireland). Cam Ship pilot hero. Lt. Robert William Hanmer Everett, D.S.O, 804 Sqn FAA. Lost his life on 26th January 1942, when his Hawker Hurricane crashed on a beach at Llanddona, Anglesey, Wales. Can anyone confirm or otherwise the serial number of the Hurricane please ? Reason for question is that the only one I have is one that has been recorded as being "left behind in France" May 1940, see my earlier post "19 Hurricane's Left behind ?".
