Thief of Scanned Aviation Photos/Manuscripts
Unfortunately, an opportunist thief has stolen external hard-drives with an eclectic amount of scanned Coastal Command strike wing photographs, (North Coates, Leuchars, Dallachy, Portreath, Banff, Davidstow Moor etc.,) which I have built up since the early 1990s, together with research, manuscripts, etc., sadly they also included scanned WW1 photographs of No. 1 School of Military Aeronautics in Reading, photographs of Sir Arthur Harris and his family whom I knew from 1977 to 1980's.
A plethora of other aviation material, I'm not sure the person who stole the items will realise what they are, and hope fully the external hard drive's will turn up in a porn shop in the next couple of weeks so Thames Valley Police advise me. Just thought I'd let you know, should anyone be offered anything. keep them peeled Andy Bird |
