Need photos of 1./JG3 "White 6" in a salvage dump at Philippeville, France, in June, 1940
Hello,
For profiling purposes, I'm looking for additional images of the a/c in this photo, which probably FL after combat at the airfield at Philippeville, France on or about 19 June 1940. It ended up in the salvage dump there. I particularly need images of it before the cowling was removed (should have white Tazelwurm insignia) on both sides, views of the front of the wings to know whether it was an E-1 (probably) or an E-3, and a view of the tail before it was removed, to see whether the swastika was tail centered or fin only. Can anyone help? Usually there a number of photos of such a/c in the salvage dumps in France, but this is the only one I've ever seen of this particular 109. http://ihra.smugmug.com/photos/i-gCn...-gCn2dQz-L.jpg
