Re: Wrecked FW 190's Germany 1945

Hello everyone,

I am of the opinion that the Fw190A visible in the left background of the first photo in Waldo Pepper’s Posting #1, is a new view of II./JG300’s Fw190A-8, 10+ - black (the black 10 is thinly outlined in yellow and its II.Gruppe bar is also yellow). This colorful aircraft carried the 300 mm blue/white/blue RV bands of JG300 and a black cowl band. Sadly, the two trees are blocking the area where its RV bands were applied.

I featured this aircraft on the cover of AIRFOIL #2 in the spring of 1984.
